So, I just wanted to add my little part to the Google search fiasco and say:

Obama can't get Gun Control past congress, so he screws with gun owners and collectors by banning reimportation of M1 Carbines and M1 Garands from Korea, and now by making those of us with Class 3 stuff jump through MORE hoops before we can get more stuff.

What an asshole.  This is PURELY punitive.  There is no reason to do this for crime.  I dare ANYONE on to come up with any sort of stat that shows any significant crime caused by CMP garands and Carbines or legally owned 'Class 3' weapons.

Us -vs- Them

I know that there are billions of pixels killed on the internet over the whole "us -vs- them" mindset of Government (including Law Enforcement) versus the Citizens.  Especially when we have the whole episode of the Watertown Ghetto earlier this week where all sorts of law enforcement and Military locked down a whole city and violated everyone's rights to try and hunt down a bomber. 

People were imprisoned in their homes, held at gunpoint, forcibly searched, had their right to free travel restricted, and were generally treated like cattle. 

Rule 2: Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.

We have a nice little example of this pop up here this morning.

Let me give you some backstory: 
-Last weekend, the Travis County District Attorney, Rosemary Lehmberg, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated while having an open bottle of vodka on the front seat.  
-She says she wont resign, that there is no conflict of interest since her office does not prosecute first time DWI Offenders
-Lehmberg tries to plead guilty and get this adjudicated and gone ASAP, before charges are even filed, leading LOTS of people to speculate she was trying to cover something up.
-DA goes to jail.  "...by taking the a longer sentence, she avoided probation, as well as the conditions of probation, which may have included no alcoholic beverages"
-Dashcam video is released!  As suspected, there was more to the story.  She was combative with officers, tried to use her position to get preferential treatment, put in restraints, leg irons, and a spit/ bite hood.

Now here is what blew my mind this morning.  The Austin Police Association (Union) called for Lehmberg to step down.  Not for breaking the law... not for endangering the very citizens and society they are sworn to protect... but for "the way Lehmberg treated the Sheriff's Deputy's who arrested her, saying it reflects a lack of respect for officers."  Unbelievable.  Totally an "Us -vs- Them" mindset.  The police union did not care about the law, just the treatment of the officers.

We need to end that attitude.  Cops and LEOs are citizens.  They are supposed to be US.  They need to look at anyone they are dealing with and see themselves.  There is no 'thin blue line'- there are just citizens that are entrusted by society to enforce our laws.  

BY THE WAY- the officer in the dashcam video (linked above) needs a medal, a promotion and a raise.  When he found out it was the highest law enforcer in the county that was being arrested, he said (paraphrasing) 'Treat it like you would any one else'.  THAT is a good Law Enforcement Officer, and someone doing the right thing even when it could be his political downfall.  It's what all LEOs should strive for, in my opinion.

Dear God, Mr. Biden... just shut UP!!!

After my rant earlier last week, Biden opened his cake-hole again and tried to give self defense advice on the use of a Shotgun.  Here are his words:

"...because you want to keep someone away from your house, just fire the shotgun through the door."

Can that moron give any worse advice?  His advice violates 2 of the 4 Rules, and is a FELONY.

In the same Field and Stream interview, Biden also said that anyone who needs a “clip” (actually a magazine) with 30 rounds in it is a “danger” to themselves.

My 4 year old knows the difference between Clip and Magazine.  The man that is one heartbeat away from leading the 'free' world does not... and thinks he can give advice on self defense.

If you have not been paying attention, our national shame, Joe Biden, went out and opened his slobbering cake-hole and stuck his whole foot in his mouth.

"Oh, " you say, "It must be a day that ends in 'y'"

Right.  Except Ol' Slo-Mo Joe went out and in one statement where he was a patronizing sexist pig towards women, advocated breaking THREE of the sacred 'Four Rules', and told us to commit what would be a felony in all 50 states.

That has to be a record, even for one as adept in screwing things up.  What did he say?  Here, listen to that smarmy sphincter say it himself:

So, let's break that down:
"You little women don't need no AR-15.  It's just to complicated with all them switches, triggers, dials and stuff.  You need something simple because you are just too mentally incapable of understanding the complex workings of a 60 year old design..."
"Make sure to fire wildly at strange noises with no idea what the target or backstop is."
"The best idea is to make sure an aggressor knows that now your gun is empty."

Mr Biden, please keep your advice to things you actually know, like hairplugs and creepily fondling women in public.  Let the adults talk about adult issues like self defense.

While the DC Police decided to not charge David Gregory for willfully violating DC's draconian gun laws....

Now we have a regular guy that will probably be charged for using a gun to shoot a pitt bull that was mauling an eleven year old boy

Remember your place, subjects! Those laws are for the little people!

James Yeager is the Guy Fieri of the gun culture

Mi2Tall whipped out that gem in conversation today.  Tam said he was the Honey Boo Boo of the gun industry as well, but I like Mi2Tall's assertion better.  Why?  because I refuse to believe that anyone likes and admires Honey Boo Boo.  I feel people watch that shi... uh, show like a trainwreck.  Abject horror and fascination.

Fieri, on the other hand has people that actually look up to him.  People that rally want to 'ride the Guy Express to flavortown'.  He is a douche in shitty sunglasses and frosted tips.

ALL I AM IS MARKETING!!!!

In case you have not been following the Saga of Yeager, here it is in a nutshell:
-James Yeager is a natural born tool that comes back from a being a contractor in the sandbox and starts a firearms training school
-Some controversy starts about Yeager's service
-Yeager starts making training videos with cameramen downrange
-Yeager makes a whole bunch of videos online that are completely mock-worthy
-And he gets his panties in a wad when people mock them
-Then he challenges people to a duel
-Now he makes a series of videos that says he will shoot gun grabbers.
-... and he gets his concealed carry license yanked for being a public menace

Would you trust this guy?  Not me.

Yeager is a tool. He has done damage to our cause.
