To a certain FFL/ Gun Dealer in my hometown:

Dr. John Lott runs the numbers on NICS* checks and comes up with a Low/ High on the 'false positive denials' on "Instant Checks"*

Anywhere between 94.4%- 99.97% of all 'Denials' in the Instant Check* system are false positives.

Here, Read the link

So, MR. FFL- Next time you think that someone is trying to use you to break the law because they get a delay on an instant check*, remember that the Govt is wrong about 95% of the time. The Govt. seems to be happy with that number.

*Only in Government can something be called "Instant" and be expected to take up to 5 business days (7 real days for those of us that do not punch a Govt. time clock). I guess that's what happens when you can have 'non-essential employees' as well.

  1. One of the quasi-sucky things about being a legal U.S. resident but NOT a citizen is the hoops I have to jump through to buy a gun. I've lived here longer than the Glock-buying pimply-faced 21 year old next to me, but he flashes his CCW card and he's handed a gun.

Me? It's CCW card, Alien Registration Card and 3 months of utility bills and it's STILL a 50/50 chance I'll have to come back in a few days to pick up my gun.

    1. Hello,

I appreciate your idea here. Definitely it has a good content. FFL allows is for the licensee to buy and receive Curio and Relic firearms directly to his home without having to go through a FFL dealer to broker the transaction. Thank you for imparting more of your own thoughts...
